Around the Town with Keri Garcia: Wild Zoo Halloween | Video

When October finally rolls around, family-friendly frights and fun are in high demand — alongside lots and lots of candy, of course. This week on Around the Town, we’re headed to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo where Fort Wayne-ians can find candy and fun at a long-standing tradition: Wild Zoo Halloween.

Every year, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo reopens its doors after the season ends to families decked out in their best Halloween garb. Over the course of three weekends, trick-or-treaters can collect candy, see the zoo animals one more time, meet Broomhilda the Witch, and even bring home their own mini pumpkins.

Wild Zoo Halloween also features themed weekends. This year, look out for Princess Day, Star Wars Day, Super-Hero Day, and plenty more.

Most families can’t say they’ve made Halloween memories with stingrays, giraffes, and kangaroos. For more unique Fort Wayne fun, stay tuned for the next episode of Around the Town!

Thanks for tuning in!
