2017: A Look Back
This year has held a few big accomplishments for my career as a realtor with Mike Thomas.
I started a video series, Around the Town, moved into the new Mike Thomas building, and of course, sold a lot of homes. Instead of listing every house I sold, here's a brief look back at a few of the highlights from this year.
February
My social media journey as a realtor began with renewed vigor this month.
Also, I sold this house in ONE DAY. The Fort Wayne housing market continues to break records, and one day sales are quite common — even in the winter! Don't let the weather get you down, there is no off season.
March
As a realtor, I also act as a buyer representative. This amazing view is from a gorgeous lake property on Clear Lake, where I represented the buyers in the acquisition.
April
April showers bring, well, more hours! No matter if it was at an airport, working remotely on a client's behalf, there is not much I won't do to help out. I even walked my beloved client's dog to accommodate a last-minute showing! Always here to assist, in all areas.
May
In late spring, I sat down with DasFort Media and discussed my mission and goals as a Fort Wayne Realtor, and a little about my history.
"I love to help people transition from one place to another. Whether it's making them feel good about leaving the place that they raised their children, or making them feel great about the new chapter in their life."
June
This month marked the very first episode of Around the Town. We (my daughters came too!) headed over to Parkview Field to take a look at one of downtown Fort Wayne's most iconic hubs.
"A home is more than just a house, it's the community that surrounds it."
July
With summer comes heat, fun, and lots of activity. I listed 7 private lots in Woodland Lake, and featured them with my first drone video. No home? No problem! I can help you buy and sell land, and even recommend trusted builders for your dream home.
One of my favorite things about this season are ... the farmer's markets! We featured two of my favorites, the Salomon Farmers Market and the YLNI Farmers Market, in another episode of Around the Town: Farmers Markets.
I recorded a short video at the Mike Thomas open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building at 9601 Coldwater Road. My second drone video squeezed in at the end of the month for the highest priced house of the year. Summer sizzle in full swing!
August
Aside from the lake view, this house I listed in August definitely had the best backyard. Can't you just imagine waking up and enjoying your morning coffee by the sparkling pond? Click on the arrows to scroll through for more photos of the quality Amish construction by Imperial Homes boasts arched doorways, 10' ceilings, and a multi-peaked brick front.
September
Land sold in Churubusco. Often shortened to “Busco,” it is located in the extreme northeast corner of Whitley County, Indiana. My expertise doesn’t stop at houses, or Fort Wayne. I can help you buy or sell property, both commercial and private, and more.
October
Is there any event more beloved than the Johnny Appleseed Festival? Some might argue for the Three Rivers Festival, and I visited them both for Around the Town: Festival Fun.
Wild Zoo Halloween is another fall staple in the Fort, so I stopped by and captured some of the excitement.
November
In early November, I sold a property in 30 days, above list price — while most homes in the same price point take 100 days to sell. Here's a little recap.
What better way to close out autumn, than a stroll through beautiful vineyards in Around the Town: Wineries.
December
As a year end episode, I headed over to the newly opened Three Rivers Distilling Co to talk with one of the owners, Aaron Pence. They are the first legal distillery in Fort Wayne since prohibition!
You can see Part 2, here.
And finally, a little bonus reminder during the long, freezing cold winter ...
